Network Infrastructure

The switching, routing and fibre backbone that every other system runs on — designed with redundancy at the core, segmented from the first port, and monitored so problems surface before guests notice them.

Why it matters

Every system in the building runs on the same network. It has to be right.

Guest Wi-Fi, IPTV, IP telephony, PMS, access control and CCTV all share the same physical infrastructure. When that infrastructure is flat, undocumented or built without resilience, a single misconfiguration or failed uplink takes every one of those systems down together. A properly architected Layer 3 core keeps traffic segmented, multicast contained, failover automatic and every path documented — so the network is the last thing anyone has to worry about.

Redundancy at the coreHA switching pairs with automatic failover so a dead uplink or failed core switch is a logged event, not an outage your guests experience.
Multicast-ready for IPTVIPTV demands proper multicast routing — IGMP snooping and PIM Sparse Mode configured correctly, so streams reach every room without flooding every port.
Segmented from port oneGuest, staff, IPTV, VoIP, IoT and management traffic live on separate VLANs with explicit inter-VLAN policy enforced at Layer 3 — not an afterthought bolted on later.
What's included

Designed, built and run — end to end.

Layer 3 core design

Inter-VLAN routing done in hardware at the switching layer, keeping policy off the firewall's data path.

HA core switching

Redundant core switches with VRRP, LACP uplink bonding and sub-second failover — no single point of failure at the heart of the network.

VLAN architecture

Guest, staff, IPTV, VoIP, IoT, PMS and management — each segment isolated, documented and enforced from day one.

Firewall design & policy

Zone-based stateful firewalling at the perimeter and between critical segments, with a documented ruleset your team can audit.

Multicast routing

IGMP snooping and PIM Sparse Mode configured for IPTV multicast — streams delivered efficiently, without flooding non-subscriber ports.

Passive fibre network

OS2 single-mode or OM4 multimode structured cabling installed, tested and certified — the physical layer built to last decades.

Active fibre network

SFP+ and 10G/25G uplinks, fibre-to-the-floor distribution and high-speed aggregation — bandwidth that doesn't become the bottleneck.

Installation & commissioning

Cabling, racking, patching and device configuration handled cleanly, with staged cut-overs built around your occupancy.

Audit & ongoing monitoring

Config backup, diff alerting, SNMP polling and real-time dashboards — we see changes and faults before they become problems.

How it works

From survey to switch-on — and beyond.

01
Audit

We document what's deployed, map the topology and identify every gap and risk.

02
Design

A Layer 3 topology with HA, VLAN plan, fibre schedule and firewall policy, to a fixed quote.

03
Build

Fibre, switching, routing and firewalls installed and commissioned around your schedule.

04
Monitor

Continuous monitoring, config backup and on-demand re-audit — the network stays known.

Questions

What hoteliers ask.

Can you work with our existing switches and firewall?

Usually yes — the audit tells us what's worth keeping and what's quietly causing instability. We're vendor-neutral, so the answer is honest rather than a pitch for a full rip-and-replace.

Why do we need Layer 3 switching rather than just Layer 2?

Layer 2 flat networks route everything through the firewall, creating a bottleneck and making IPTV multicast nearly impossible to run cleanly. Layer 3 switching handles inter-VLAN routing in hardware at line rate, keeps multicast contained and leaves the firewall to do what it's good at — policy enforcement at the perimeter.

What does HA core actually mean in practice?

Two core switches configured so that if one fails — hardware fault, power loss, software crash — the other takes over in under a second, automatically, with no manual intervention. For a hotel running IPTV, VoIP and PMS over the same network, that's the difference between a logged event and a floor of rooms going dark.
